Large Annihilators in Cayley-dickson Algebras
Cayley-Dickson algebras are non-associative R-algebras that generalize the well-known algebras R, C, H, and O. We study zero-divisors in these algebras. In particular, we show that the annihilator of any element of the 2n-dimensional Cayley-Dickson algebra has dimension at most 2n−4n+4. Moreover, every multiple of 4 between 0 and this upper bound occurs as the dimension of some annihilator. Alt...
متن کاملLarge Annihilators in Cayley-dickson Algebras Ii
We establish many previously unknown properties of zero-divisors in Cayley-Dickson algebras. The basic approach is to use a certain splitting that simplifies computations surprisingly.
متن کاملAN INVESTIGATION ON THE CO-ANNIHILATORS IN TRIANGLE ALGEBRAS
In this paper, we introduce the notion of co-annihilator of a subsetin a triangle algebra. It is shown that the co-annihilator of asubset is an interval valued residuated lattice (IVRL)-filter. Also, aspecial set of a triangle algebra is defined and the relationshipbetween this set and co-annihilator of a subset in triangle algebrais considered. Finally, co-annihilators preserving congruencerel...
متن کاملAnnihilators of Ideals of Exterior Algebras
The Orlik-Solomon algebra A of a matroid is isomorphic to the quotient of an exterior algebra E by a defining ideal I . We find an explicit presentation of the annihilator ideal of I or, equivalently, the E-module dual to A. As an application of that we provide a necessary, combinatorial condition for the algebra A to be quadratic. We show that this is stronger than matroid being line-closed th...
متن کاملAnnihilators on weakly standard BCC-algebras
BCK-algebras, introduced in the 1960s by Imai and Iséki [3], form a well-known class of algebras intensively studied in algebraic logic during the last decades. The reason of their introduction was practically twofold: they describe general properties of algebras of sets with the set subtraction as a binary operation, and secondly, they form a natural generalization of algebraic counterparts of...
